Kishangarh State was a princely state in India from 1611 to 1948. It was founded by the Jodhpur prince Kishan Singh in 1609. Before Kishan Singh, this area was ruled by Raja Samokhan Singh. During the British Raj, Kishangarh served as the capital of the princely state, which covered an area of 2210 km² and had a population of 85,744 in 1931. In 1948, Kishangarh uneventfully joined the Indian union as part of nine states that constituted the Rajasthan state.
