In 2016, India Post issued a definitive stamp honoring Gopinath Bordoloi, a prominent Indian freedom fighter and the first Chief Minister of Assam. This stamp was part of the 11th series of definitive stamps titled "Makers of India," which was launched on June 10, 2016.
